About this Project

This West Chester homeowner reached out to the Craftsworth Construction (CWC) home renovation and design team for the second time in three years to remodel their entire first floor plus their basement, after moving to a new home. Like many of our projects, this one took some serious ingenuity in order to allow it to come to fruition. From design to structural alterations, the pictures speak for themselves in terms of the final outcome while the work involved behind the scenes was intense given the challenges of this residential construction project. The CWC team worked with the local township and engineers to develop a plan that would remove a center load-bearing wall in the home, and flush mount a large beam in its place — in order to provide the space needed to create this wide open design (“open concept”). Our team, remodeled their entire kitchen with a large 14-foot island, custom painted cabinets, waterfall countertops, fretwork black entertainment wall, 12-foot long bar with double fridge, floating shelves, and antiqued mirrored splash — and it doesn’t end there! The entire first floor and stairs were fitted with LVP flooring, a complete laundry room make over, and a complete basement remodel that includes a children’s play area (playroom), as well as an “adult space” including a full TV/entertainment lounge!
