Our Process

Many clients will testify, that the processes from design to reality, was made simple and kept organized through the system and process that Craftsworth Construction so diligently implements on each and every project! Every client, regardless of the project size and scope, is treated exactly the same, with the utmost respect, loyalty, integrity, and professionalism.

It all starts when a homeowner first makes contact with Craftsworth! Do yourself a favor and make that first step today! A representative from Craftsworth will take the time to speak with you about your project, location, timeline, and other specifics to gauge your renovation needs. When you feel like our firm is a good fit for you, we will schedule a time that works best for you to come out and visit your home.

When we visit with you at your home, we will take the time to listen to your needs/wants, and take careful consideration of them. We may recommend different products, solutions, and designs while there to help aid in different ideas that may improve the plan! We will take notes for the project, pictures of the space, and measurements in an effort to get the design/estimate right the first time!

If the project consists of a design that is needed for a kitchen, bathroom, or basement, Craftsworth will leave your home with the information and measurements needed to provide you with beautiful 3D renderings of your new space! If the project does not require design work, we also have the information needed to provide you with an accurate estimate for the work.

Craftsworth will not charge clients for an initial design for their space. Beautiful 3D renderings will be provided to you for our initial review. Should the design process require multiple revisions some costs/fee may be required. From this point, you will have a full-blown plan of your space, and of the details needed to price different cabinetry, and even other contractors for bids!  The estimate and the time spent at the homeowner’s house is of no cost or obligation at all.

Should you decide that you have enjoyed the process thus far and would like to move forward with Craftsworth, a representative will schedule to revisit with you and review the contract, estimate details, schedule, and payment terms. Our contracts are simple, but inclusive and clearly written, with no “fine print”! We will review the details of the estimate very closely to make sure the scope matches exactly what is expected to be completed. The project will require a down payment in order to be placed in the schedule of awarded projects. The payment schedule will break down the payments which are always task oriented through the project. The first payment, due at contract signing, is about 8-10% of the contracted cost. The rest of the payments are spelled out and due when particular items of the scope have been completed.

Once the project kicks off, Craftsworth will install flooring protection, dust containment walls with zipper access’s, and exhaust fans as needed to ensure the rest of the home stays as clean as possible. No one can assure you that your home will be completely dust free with a large project, but we take dust control and containment systems seriously and make the best effort to do so. The project will be completed in a timely manner and made sure that it meets your highest expectations.

Upon completion of the project, a representative from Craftsworth will walk the project with you to ensure that everything is exactly as it should be. If there are items to be completed, we will develop a punch-list and make sure they are taken care of as quickly as possible.

Once the punch-list and any other outstanding items have been completed, Craftsworth will provide you with our 5-year workmanship warranty on the entire project. This is yet just another way that we demonstrate our high level of commitment to our clients, and our seriousness about standing behind our work!
